Serious Games at Scale
With generative AI, there is more potential than ever to build serious games through rapid pipelines like innovative text-to-game workflows.
That's my main thought. Here's some other ones that LLMs spat out that I find accurate:
A few patterns that keep showing up:
-
Start with the job, not the tech. The best simulations map directly to decisions people make at work. Fancy graphics are useless if the scenario doesn't teach the right skill.
-
Treat the engine as a content platform or template maker. Unity (and similar tools) shine when instructional designers and artists can iterate without a full engineering cycle for every change.
-
Generative AI is a pipeline ingredient, not the product. Used well, it accelerates voiceover, visuals, and variation. Used poorly, it produces slop at scale.
I might dig into each of these in future posts. For now, if you're building learning experiences and want to compare notes, find me on LinkedIn.
